Just a place where I can share what I have made (where I may have procured the pattern from), patterns that I have created, or recipes. Sometimes, I might even talk about my life. Sometimes, I might get on my soapbox, about things that most people would not care about, but I do care and I have the right to spout off. If you know who a recipe might belong to, that was shared, please tell me so I can give proper credit.

TV Shows and Movie and Book Themed Knits/Crochet
TV Shows, Movies and Books that feature knitting or crochet tend to have several patterns. For instance, Dr. Who has a very long scarf that has been remade so many times for many different seasons. They have other things that are created. Same goes for Downton Abbey and Harry Potter, where characters wear knits or there is someone knitting. So this would be a good place to stash those patterns.

The cloths were beautiful and well written, easy to follow and while I have some printed, I will not share those as they were copyrighted to her and I hope that she will one day put them back up for those of us who were wanting to make an afghan using the patterns. But I will hold onto my printed patterns.
Edit: If you go to Wayback Machine and put in the web address of the closed site, you might be very lucky and be able to get to the wonderful patterns that are no longer available.

Recipes from FB
I like FB, because we can share, but there are things I do not like. For instance, I cannot save all that I want to my wall, because FB only shows me what it wants and if I want a certain thing, it is hidden. They are also, way liberal and delete accounts of Conservative Groups who are sharing the idiocy of our idiot in Chief, Obummer.
Today, I saw a group of people getting signatures and donations to work on Impeaching Obummer. Yeah!
They were handing out lots of information and was a good stop.
Also, I love this song! IT is so very true! It is called The Mom Song.
Now for some more things I want to make for my family to eat:
Cake:
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
Buckeyes
1 1/2 cups Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 -4 cups powdered sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening
COMBINE peanut butter, butter, vanilla and salt in large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on LOW until blended. Add 2 cups powdered sugar, beating until blended. Beat in additional powdered sugar until mixture, when shaped into a ball, will stay on a toothpick. Shape into 1-inch balls. Refrigerate.
PLACE chocolate chips and shortening in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM for 30 seconds. Stir. Repeat until mixture is smooth. Reheat as needed while coating peanut butter balls.
INSERT toothpick in peanut butter ball. Dip 3/4 of ball into chocolate, leaving top uncovered to resemble a buckeye. Remove excess. Place on wax paper-lined tray. Remove toothpick. Smooth over holes. Refrigerate until firm.
2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
2 cups dry roasted peanuts
2 cups miniature marshmallows...
1 cup peanut butter
2 pounds white chocolate chips (2 12-oz packages plus 1 1/3 cup)
In a large bowl, combine cereal, peanuts and marshmallows. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and peanut butter on High for 1 minute and then in 30 second intervals until fully melted. Stir chocolate into cereal mixture. Mixture will be slightly runny. Drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper. Let set until firm, 2 hours. Store in an airtight container.

Now for some more things I want to make for my family to eat:
Snickerdoodle Muffins - Oh My!!!!
2 sticks unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp cream of tartar
3/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 1/4 cup sour cream
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar and 1 TBSP cinnamon mixed together for rolling
1.Cream the butter and sugar until soft about 3 to 5 minutes. Add in the vanilla. Add in the eggs one at a time and mix until each is incorporated.
2.In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cream of tartar and nutmeg.
3.Add the flour mixture and the sour cream alternately to the egg-butter mixture in the additions. Start with the flour and end with the flour. Scrape the bowl occasionally.
4. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop out muffin batter one at a time and drop into a shallow bowl filled with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Roll the muffin around in the mixture until it is covered completely in cinnamon sugar. Place muffin into muffin tin. Depending on the size of your tins, you should get about 12 to 14 muffins. Bake them for approx. 20-22 minutes in a 350F oven or until they are golden brown.

STUFFED ZUCCHINI
INGREDIENTS
3 zucchinis
1/2 large onion, chopped fine
1 Tbsp butter
5 - 6 slices crispy bacon, chopped
1 Tbsp sour cream
1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp curry powder
1 roma tomato, seeded and chopped
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh cracked black pepper
(you can also make these vegetarian and take the bacon out or use a meat sub. or replace with some olives or any other veggie)
DIRECTIONS
Give the zucchini a quick wash for good measure. Slice in half lengthwise. Leave the ends on to keep the filling in. Scoop out the flesh with a melon baller or a spoon. Leave a ledge of zucchini around the edges. For the life of me, I couldn't make straight lines. That's okay. They were still delicious. Arrange the zucchini boats in a baking dish. Chop the zucchini flesh as small as you like.
Finely chop half a sweet onion. Chop up some good smokey bacon. You could leave this out for a vegetarian side dish (maybe add some chopped mushrooms?)... but my family goes through quite a lot bacon, so it's going in! Add the curry powder... cook until desired doneness of onions and remove from heat. To the zucchini flesh, add sour cream. (How can this be bad?). Rough chop some fresh thyme leaves. Mix onion and bacon mixture with other ingredients. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Stir in the tomatoes. Seed them or else there may be too much moisture in the filling. You don't really want the filling to be all runny when you cut into it. Refill the zucchini shells with the filling mixture.
Grate some good aged Parmigiano Reggiano cheese on top and sprinkle with fresh cracked black pepper. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes. Of course you know me. I'm gonna grate even more cheese on them again... Smokiness from the bacon. Salty from the Parmesan cheese. Soft and buttery zucchini.
Lighten it up with light sour cream and light Parmesan

EASY CHEESE DANISH
Ingredients:
2 cans of crescent rolls
1 8oz package of cream cheese at room temp.
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
3/4 tsp vanilla
1 tsp sour cream
Preheat the oven to 350. Place a sheet of parchment paper on cookie sheet or baking pan.
Open the crescent rolls carefully so as not to tear the dough. Do not unroll...you will need to leave it in it's cylindrical shape. Slice the dough into pieces about 1/4 inch thick (as though you're slicing cookie dough). Place the slices on a cookie sheet. Now press the center in to make an indentation for the cream cheese filling.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the cream cheese, regular sugar, lemon juice, vanilla and sour cream. Add a dollop of the mixture to the indentation you made in each circle of dough. I find that about a tbsp works well, but you can use as little or as much as you like.
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes. While the danish are baking, you can make a quick royal icing to drizzle over the tops.
Drizzle for top:
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 tbsp milk
1 tbsp softened butter
Mix together the confectioner's sugar, milk and butter in a small bowl. Use a spoon to drizzle it over the tops of the danish, or you can put it into a small zip-top bag and snip of the corner for an easy "piping bag."
Take the danish out of the oven and allow them to cool for 10-15 minutes before icing.

Zucchini Parmesan Crisps
1 lb. zucchini or squash (about 2 medium-sized)
1/4 cup shredded parmesan (heaping)
1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs (heaping)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
freshly ground pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line two baking sheets with foil and spray lightly with vegetable spray.
Slice zucchini or squash into 1/4 inch-thick rounds. Toss rounds with oil, coating well.
In a wide bowl or plate, combine breadcrumbs, parmesan, salt and pepper.
Place rounds in parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides of each round, pressing to adhere. The mixture will not completely cover each round, but provides a light coating on each side.
Place rounds in a single layer on baking sheets. Sprinkle any remaining breadcrumb mixture over the rounds.
Bake for about 22 to 27 minutes, until golden brown. (There is no need to flip them during baking -- they crisp up on both sides as is.) - Greg's Skinny Friends

PEANUT BUTTER "BUCKEYE" PRETZEL BITES
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs softened butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs softened butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
miniature pretzels
1 bag of chocolate chips or Merkins Choc. wafers
Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside. In mixing bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until combined. Add sugars and mix well. You should be able to roll mixture into small balls without sticking to your hands. If needed, add more powdered sugar until it is easy to roll. Take each ball and sandwich between two pretzels. Place on wax paper. When done, stick in the freezer for a few minutes. Melt the chocolate (I used Merkins Choc. wafers - easier to work with). Dip each pretzel bite halfway into the chocolate and place on wax paper to set.
