Working on so many things....

I have to empty out my email...it has become overwhelming. I know that many of the patterns are starting to be duplicates, and I can just delete without really looking through them all, but there are new ones, once and awhile.

I have to finish 2 blankets, so I can move onto another blanket. I need to finish socks, for my nephew, love that kid. I need to finish hats. My friend and I decided that we wanted to make hats and scarves (and buy gloves or mittens for cheap) and hang them on a tree where kids are who might need them and let them take them off and enjoy them. I think that would be something that would help benefit the area. I know some kids get to the stage of not wearing because it isn't cold, but when it is cold, you really need these things. It would fun to have them out and available.

Friday, we were told a horrendous storm was going to move through and it got a little colder than it has been. The storm happened and it has been windy, but overall the storm was not that bad. I worked on the laundry all Thursday night and Friday day. It is a never ending cycle. I can remember when it was just my husband and I, I would do the laundry on Sunday while he slept. I would get it all finished and put away. It was easier. Now that we have children and so many pets (aka fur babies) I do laundry almost daily. If I don't do it, it is more than usual and takes longer into the night.

I am also hunting for fun history things for my kids to research. I found 83 already and I want to find so many more. I think they will have a blast with these. I am also thinking that I may want to research things that are mysteries in science (or were....they have to use research to learn about it).

Histories Mysteries

Trying to get my kids excited over things has been a challenge, but they love NCIS, CSI, etc. So one day I was looking around on FB (when bored I read FB articles) and I came across this idea. So I began to research the idea and there are so many different mysteries that can be searched and read about. So I started creating a card for each of the different mysteries and will let them choose a mystery to research and see where this will lead.

Krohn Spring Show

My family and I love the Krohn Conservatory. They change their show and have different things for different times. Right now they are showing the Spring Flowers and they are showing the "Bayou." We went this weekend figuring that since the weather was so nice we could go and it wouldn't be too crowded and it was as expected, a little crowd, but not a huge one.

It smelled so good in the special show room. They had Mardi Gras beads in the trees and masks and other things that they think typifies New Orleans.

If you get a chance and want to see a gorgeous show (that ends in March), I would get to the Krohn soon.

Pretty Kitties and a Dog

He is such a pretty kitty. He is hunting a lady bug. It has been so warm here that bugs are out and about and coming into the house at rare moments.

This is my lone female kitty. She is pretty much mine and allows others to pet her at her pleasure.

I gave the kitties a little baked chicken one night. This was how I caught the lone female. So the others had to get into the act.

She loves her baked chicken.

Like I said he is a pretty kitty.

She is a furniture hound. She loves to lay on the furniture.

He loves living with us and has started curling up into tight balls with his head tucked under.

My sister-in-law got into the act of rescuing a kitty. She is also a very pretty kitty.

My girls like to put her on top of her scratching post.

He loves to be cuddled into blankets. He is very much a confident kitty since he has been with us.

She makes some of the funniest faces and noises (when she sleeps). She talks to me when she wants to go out.

He is a little trouble maker.

She likes to be rubbed on all the time and will head butt for more attention.

Look at that huge smile. It never goes away.

They are getting along better. There are still moments where they will scare each other, but they are doing so much better.

She will often stick out her tongue.

He loves the doll, it helps that it is filled with kitty nip.

Another cat toy created for the kitties. He loves it (yep, this is a he).

Love how she curls on the couch.

The three boys (yep, that black one is a boy).

If you want a pet, always consider rescuing one, as they are the most loving and accepting and happy pets to own. I won't ever regret any of my rescues.
