Summer is finally Here!

Summer is slow coming this year. It would get warm and we could get into the pool, then it would get cold, then it would warm up a little (maybe the 70's) and then get cold at night and the water at the pool was cold. Now it hit the 80's and 90's and the pool is full of people with their kids. The kids are being dangerous and the parents are ignoring the kids. Not all parents, mind, but quite a few.

FB has something new

FB has something new, it allows you to see some of the things you posted over the years. It has allowed me to find some of the patterns and things I have saved but could not find to save here. So now I am moving things as fast as I can so that I can save it and find it later. I am also printing quite a bit. I have this month to get my kids stuff together for next school year, as we are going to go traditional this year.

Summer Reading

I love to read. I would rather read than watch tv, but sometimes I love to knit or crochet and tv just provides something for my mind to think on while I am working on the knitting or the crochet. A friend and her family put together a summer reading list of 5 books to read. I had the kids do the same thing, so below here is our list of books for summer reading.

My list is a little longer than 5, but I am hopeful:

1.       JoAnne Fluke Christmas Bundle

2.       Drop Dead Chocolate: A Donut Shop Mystery

3.       The Silent Girl

4.       Last To Die

5.       Dying for Chocolate

6.       Key Lime Pie Murder

7.       Apple Turnover Murder

8.       Unlucky 13

9.       Tiles and Tribulations

10.   Yarn to Go

11.   The Keepsake

12.   You Better Knot Die

Hannah’s 5 Summer Books

1.       Ripley’s RBI 02: Dragon’s Triangle

2.       The Disneyland Quest 2: Dizzy’s California Adventure

3.       Kingdom Keepers II: Disney at Dawn

4.       Atlantis Rising

5.       TBD

Esther’s 5 Summer Books

1.       Atlantis Rising

2.       The Hobbit

3.       The Lord of the Rings

4.       TBD

5.       Star Wars: Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison

Nicole’s 5 Summer Books

1.       Rescue on the Oregon Trail

2.       TBD

3.       Chocolate Chip Murder

4.       Silver Chair

5.       Last Battle

The only person who didn't create a list is my husband, but he is not much of a reader.

What books are you looking forward to reading this summer?

Update: My list keeps growing, my daughter's have also picked up other books, too.

Middle of May

We are in May and my mom is still in the hospital. She has been there since March this time. She keeps getting somewhere and then she has a new problem crop up and she is getting grumpy because she cannot have what she wants when she wants it. She continues to ask for prayers, so we keep praying and asking for prayers for her. I have a lot on my FB and need to clear it quickly so I can get to KY to visit her and bring her her meal that she desperately wants.

End of April

My mom is still in the hospital and she has good days and bad days. Some days she is in a good mood, other days she is surly to bed and surly to rise. Going past all the smokers and the painted elevators means my asthma has kicked in hard and I am just trying to get past it.
